All these are examples from my own church. Yet, make no mistake, it’s a church filled with people who were once Absaloms and Gomers and every other kind of sinner. We are not an assembly of the naturally righteous. We are an assembly of the forgiven.

By God’s grace, however, we can see more and more of God’s work in one another. And more and more, we give ourselves to seeing Christ exalted in one another’s lives. These are the tasks of every church.
